Air filters need your opinion
Ok i was looking at intakes today and saw to diffret types of filters i like the oiled s&B 1B-4510 or the dry amsoil Ea AU4510 nanofiber. What are yalls opinions on wich one you would get i dont like cleaning my filter if i dont have to but if the s and b is a better filter i wont mind the trouble. Witch filter is the best filter to own.

i am curious y do yall chose the dry filter
|
you can make more power and they filter more stuff out

The oiled filters put a fine mist of oil on the compressor blades, which then attracts a fine film of dust (the stuff small enough to easily go through oiled cotton filters -- they are NOT as good at filtering as dry paper filters) and eventually your turbo bearings go out from the extra weight. Has nothing at all to do with how much they flow, and the oiled cotton filters may flow more than a paper filter of a similar size. That's why most of us have increased the surface area by using a BHAF. More surface area, less restriction.

oiled filters+turbo diesel= bamboozled turbo/motor. Ever hear of a dusted turbo?
Just go with a 2729 bhaf from fleetfilter.com and thank me later |
so oiled air filters arent any good and dry is better

hell yes brother. I'm telling you, bang for the buck and dollar/performance ratio, GET A BHAF! They are like 52$ shipped and flow 680cfm. Lets see a k&n pull that.
