My brakes are starting to scare me. Any help?

The problem is that i can pump them up and hold steady pressure and they will eventually fall all the way to the floor. No leaks, fresh pads and decent fluid. So what is happening? I understand how it works just not this.

ya either a wheel cylinder or maybe there is an issue with your hydroboost? Are the vac lines all good?

440ctd 04-12-2010 05:05 PM

could be problem with the internals of the master or rear brake cylinders

DixonPeer 04-12-2010 05:16 PM

What the hell is a "hydroboost"? Hydro would mean water, so I don't get it.

Anyway, sounds like a leak somewhere. Did you bleed the brakes lines (get any air out of lines)?

Well, here's an article that explains "hydroboost": Installing A Hydroboost Brake System on a Chevy

me and my brother checked lines, mastercylinder, front leaks and rear. Found nothing. must be something internal.

You sure you checked the master cylinder and not just the brake fillup? I'm pretty sure '96 had hydroboost
