My brakes are starting to scare me. Any help?
The problem is that i can pump them up and hold steady pressure and they will eventually fall all the way to the floor. No leaks, fresh pads and decent fluid. So what is happening? I understand how it works just not this.

wheel cylinder
---AutoMerged DoublePost--- pull the rear tires off and pull the drums.... bet u have a leaker:argh: |
ya either a wheel cylinder or maybe there is an issue with your hydroboost? Are the vac lines all good?
|
could be problem with the internals of the master or rear brake cylinders
|
What the hell is a "hydroboost"? Hydro would mean water, so I don't get it.
Anyway, sounds like a leak somewhere. Did you bleed the brakes lines (get any air out of lines)? ---AutoMerged DoublePost--- Well, here's an article that explains "hydroboost": Installing A Hydroboost Brake System on a Chevy |
me and my brother checked lines, mastercylinder, front leaks and rear. Found nothing. must be something internal.
|
You sure you checked the master cylinder and not just the brake fillup? I'm pretty sure '96 had hydroboost
