Ok so the smoke is constant.. it's not like smoke----smoke----smoke----smoke... its more like smokesmokesmokesmoke.

But yes that makes me feel better. i'm gonna run that line longer and have it exit thru the rear of the truck I hate the smoke coming up in the cab

how do I extend the oil overflow tube? I want it to exit from the rear of the truck. So how do I go about lengthening it? What diameter is the tube? I will get tubing just a little bigger then zip tie the hell out of it, and run it to the back of the truck. What size tubing should I get that fits over it so I can ziptie it?

how much smoke are we talking here? if there is really that much that is getting into the cab your gonna need to fix it.

Well no it's not pouring, but you can see it hazing the ground next to you if its windy and you are at a stop light

It irritates my wife more than me because she doesn't like having the windows down and smelling like diesel fumes when she gets out of my truck (not that I can blame her)

I had one that had blowby. at 40 lbs of boost it would blow oil out. when i dyno'd it we put a drain pan under the blowby tube. 466.1 hp and pegged torque(only went to 600 ft. lbs). guess it doesn't hurt it too much:w2:

yup still has some blow by and still ticking away:tu:

well if its that bad, why don't you run two breathers? I bet it would cut way back on your oil issue.

So my truck sounds about normal then right?

Any input on the hose soize so I can put another hose over it or in it and extend it to the rear?

HAYMAFIA 04-01-2010 11:13 AM

i was thinking one inch. just tak it loose at the breather and start from there. i bought a kenworth one time that they used pvc and ran it all the way to the back to keep the oil drips off the chrome.

So the stock breather is 1", should I get a 2" line and clamp it or zip tie it over the stock hose?
