Go back and find the post on AFC tuning. There's a link-up to a complete afc tuning page that this guy made. It covers in some pretty good detail on what and how the smoke screw is adjusted. I'ma do mine off of what he said. Maybe that will help you out.

I found it, the post is: Need help with AFC. go bout six or seven post down the 3rd day or tap on the bottom of the 12vforum. Hope you find what you need

oh and you wont have to take the afc off for the star wheel... but if you want to slide the afc housing and/or fuel plate forwad/back you're gonna have to take the afc housing off.... one tiny problem... one of the screws (break off screw) has no bit.... i.e torex or flathead.... cummins made it that way so people like us couldnt mess with the fuel plate :w2: nyway just take a chisel and break the head off... you can run with only 3 screws holdin the afc housing down... almost everybody around here is... good luck and make sure u get those gauges in soon!
