ring & pinion
i have a 95 3\4 ton ram it had a automatic in it but i changed it to getrag cuz thats all i had
but what my question is i know my ratio on rear end is 354 how do you tell if its a dana 60,70, or 80.? i busted my pinion gear today and im not sure which i have there is no tag on rear end 10 bolt cover i know its not a 9.25 thanks for any help i can get |
Automatic trucks all had a Dana 70..EXCEPT a dually which all were Dana 80's.

ok thanks alot now i just got to find a gear set from a dana 70 354 ratio that dont cost
a arm n leg ---AutoMerged DoublePost--- all except that page says dana 60 not 70 but i was told dana 60,70u,80. now imstill not sure |
94-02 Front axles are Dana 60's...
94-02 Rear Axles in Automatic equipped trucks were Dana 70's. 94-02 Rear Axles in stick equipped trucks were Dana 80's. The exceptions are the Dually's which ALL had Dana 80's in the rear. In 2001.5-02 the rear axles,Both the Dana 70 and Dana 80,were equipped with disc brakes. In 02 most all of the front Dana 60's were not equipped with CAD's(center axle disconnects). |
