Removing Transmission
This may be a dumb question, but how to I pull the TC bolts off from the flywheel.
on the right side there is a cover held on by 2 10mm bolts take that off and you can get to the torque converter bolts:tu:
that was easy, thanks
If i remember right. u can access the nuts between the hole for the starter and the block of the engine but its tight, so dont pass it up.
no problem thats what we are here for
Don't get your gear wrench stuck in there
Its all on the pass. side the baring tool hole if you have one and also the hole to access the torque converter bolts. I believe there are 6 that hold the torque converter in. I went around and around a couple times just to make sure they were all out. good luck pulling it you have to drop the cross member to make it easy. I dropped mine like 4 inches and squeezed the transmission in and out. good luck
took me a couple days to get the old one out and the jasper in. but that was working after a full day of work |
once the acess panal is off if i remember right the tq bolts are 16mm
they vary my jasper ones were 15 and the ones before were 16mm
