pump question.
is the injection pump lubed by engine oil or diesel fuel? i pulled the fuel plate out today and and it had what seems to be engine oil all over it.....is this normal?
P-pump is engine oil lubed i think thats why they last so long in my opinion

new to the 12 valves
ok i got a few questions also i just bought a 97 12 valve and trying to do a few cheap mods to it at first i messed with the star wheel and wasnt happy so i took out the fuel plate out with me taking the fuel plate out and not turning the star wheel back. does that mess everything up as in make it run rough?
it won't mess anything up ... it will just smoke like a train on the low end and run slightly better on the top
but then how comes about 2000 rpms it kinda feels like it falls on its face...
ya need the 3gsk mod to the gov. but as far as falling on face at 2000 rpm i would check
the fuel filters and fuel pressure could be lift pump |
