GSK isn't bad. There are instructions around just do a search. Timing will take special tools and you can get a kit on eBay for around $150 but you'll need to get a delivery valve socket as well which is another $40 or so. You can run plateless if you tune the AFC but I prefer to run a 100 or 0 plate just to give the rack a stop.....There are plenty of guys that run plateless but I'm not to fond of it. With a 100 or 0 the AFC will control the low end fueling and be out of the way for the upper RPM power.

Running a 0 full forward is the same as no plate.

Exactly.....but it does give me a warm fuzzy feeling of having a rack stop. :w2: Of course then you can add a Mack plug and gain some extra rack travel......

I can't unless I get some flat tops.:dang:

Flat Tops?

12valvetater 12-07-2009 03:19 PM

The flat tops are the cure to the retarded retarding notches on 913 pumps.

PhilipR 12-07-2009 03:22 PM

Ahhh.....I've never heard of the plungers reffered to as flat tops....I need to know more about pumps and turbos.

Me too.

so should i get 3k or 4k springs and what should i put my timing to? this will take care of the back fireing and white smoke

i would go with 4 gsk, but then you will also need valve springs for it to pull that high
