Help!!! wont start !! is the pump fried??
 

so i installed new injectors 5 x 14 now it wont start

i tried to bleed lines but it seems there is no fuel going to them tank is full of gas i pushed the bulb to fill the fuel filter to the top

and still nothing i tried repeatedly i gave time for pump to cool off in between tryin to start

i have done lazer cut delivery valves and afc tunning and bumbed timing to 21 prior to installation of injectors. Would this make it harder to bleed the lines.

would this affect the priming?? could i have fried the pump ???:argh:

pump gets hot when i try to turn it over after a while

really at a loss

should i reinstall the stock injectors and try again??

Not to criticize you but did you unplug anything and did you plug it all back in? If you did and none of it works try putting the stock injectors back in and see if it works. But if your pump was going bad prior to installing injectors and it got air inside it, it may have caused a loss of pressure. It may also be your lift pump. I know when i lost suction when I changed the fuel filter it wouldn't start anymore but I doubt your P7100 it failed. You may have a wire touching a metal surface and grounding preventing a current from reaching where it needs to go. Someone with more knowledge will help you out im sure. My suggestion is look and fix the easiest and cheapest things first though if you cant pinpoint the problem. :c:

When you pushed the primer bulb, did you loosen the banjo bolt on top of the filter housing? If so, did you see fuel there? Also, when you bleed the air out of the injection lines, do you get any fuel out of them at all? When you did your delivery valves, is it possible you put them in upside down?

well if the tank is full of gas then there is your problem i would use diesel:moon::tttt:


Anyhow on a serious note...check the easy stuff first...shut off solenoid is not to the off position, fuel to the IP...

I would start here. A pump isn't just going to go bad that fast unless something broke.

i would start at the beginning of the fuel system such as the lift pumpget fuel to it and move to the next thing in line and get fuel there and then move to the next. not only will this bleed the system good but you will also find out what messing up without having to replace a bunch of uneeded stuff

If your not able to bleed the injector lines than the problem is not your injectors.

Have you checked your shut down to make sure Its moveing up when you crank?
Did you plug it back in when you put the afc back on?
have you checked to make sure you have fuel to the p pump?

fuel shut off solenoid is the first place to check:scare2:

update truck is running and awsome towed it to my friends and as the tow truck was leaving he had it running

he called me to laugh at me and told me not to touch the truck unsupervised

you forgot to plug the solenoid back in didnt you?
