i have a white bottle of permatex. ill have to check it out
thanks ---AutoMerged DoublePost--- yes, the valve covers fit tight. they leaked when i bought it. or atleast theres oil resedue everywhere. tommorow when its light out im guna snap a pic where its drippen from. im assured that it is my pan gasket. i texted brandon (aka94cummins12v) |
Dan, I thought my leak was the pan, but turned out to be the vacuum/steering pump seal, and the oil migrates back the pan. I know it's prob a little late since the post is almost a yr old!

thanks for updates guys! the oil drip stopped by itself. but i did the rear main seal and valve cover gaskets for the peace of mind

You dont need to remove the cross member, hook a engine hoist to your 2 hangers located near the head and lift the engine up till the valve covers hit the fire wall and you can get to the oil pan easier that way , also disconnect your 2 drive shafts when you do that

when those leak you have a drip off the oil pan though and not off the bellhousing. the rear of my oil pan gasket has the ever so slightest leak going on its up top on the oil pan butted up against the rear of the engine where the bellhousing meets up. im about 99% sure its the oil pan as when i clean it and watch it, i see it come from there and i just did the rear main as well
