You need to check your fuel pressure.
You need to drill and tap the banjo bolt on the injector pump inlet. Use 1/8" npt tap and get the appropriate fittings. You will also need a needle valve to dampen the pressure spikes from the injector pump. Youre setup should look like this: Attachment 50937 |
ok , do these pumps get louder if they r having a hard time
---AutoMerged DoublePost--- bcause ive noticed it has gotten a little more clankity clankity clank clank, |
This can sometimes be a sign that its not putting out the correct pressure but in order to be 100% sure you must check the fuel pressure with a gauge.

Are there any kits available that include everything needed including tapped bolt?
|
Never seen one. This is an easy thing if you do a little research.
|
your fuel pressure should be around 45 psi at wide open throttle if i remember right
|
Yeah, good point - get a 0-60 psi guage.

i changed the filter and it seems to be running better and not quite as loud but i will check the pressure ,the wires on the bottom of the fuel drain plug broke and i caint plug it back in but oh well it didnt have any trouble firing up is that for the water in fuel light ?and it will start now without having to give it a galon o fuel while crankin, but will drill the banjo this weekend and make sure ,Thanks i will let you know what i find

Yes, that should be for the wif sensor. No big deal.
if you installed a permanant fuel pressure guage in the cab and you would know when its time to change the fuel filter. Whats youre idle at in gear or in drive? That can make a difference too |
