On mine, I took a busted flathead screwdriver, grinded it flat again. Placed it on the screw and took a hammer to it so I could make a indenction on it. At that point I got a regular flat head and unscrewed it.

I just used a hack saw and cut a groove into it and used a flat head screw Driver to take it out

so the general consensus has been flat head ... cuz i was trying to follow my directions and it was saying to hammer a torx into it ... and it wasnt working ...

and then did you guys use it again or did you get a different bolt with a different head on it ?

cut a slot with a hacksaw blade, dremel, or diegrinder and use a flathead (square shaft or one with a wrench bolster on it)...and use a wrench to get extra torque on it.
