it will give you more boost ... but your drive press will go through the roof and drive press robs horsepower. Insted of plugging it why not run a boost elbow? you will still make more boost and still have a working WG to help with you drive press.

 

Doing so without a gauge, and you risk serious engine damage. All the head gasket can handle is 35 lbs max. More than that and you can lift the head. I'm strongly against such a mod, even with a gauge. You can adjust it to where it opens a tad later, but that's all the further I would go.

 

on a HX 35 anything past 32 psi is extreamly hot and will hurt you in EGT's..............how much pressure ya seeing???

 

the head gasket can take more than 35 psi with stock bolts, the hx35 is still in its happy zone at 35 psi anything more than that its blowing hot air.

 

i really dunno i havent gotten gauges yet. hopefully this weekend though. ive just been grandpa-ing it around till i can get them. what is a boost elbow?

 

its a 90* elbow with an allen head that allowes you to adjust your boost
