Default Making a 47RE work in a Swap Situation

Swapping a OD lock up tranny into my 1st gen

I know on the 47RH's all you do is tap the two wirs in the three wire plug to make OD and Lock-up work.

If I swapped a 47RE into my truck and ran a Manual VB could I tap the OD and lock up wires and have teh tranny work fine?

idk if that'd fly bobby; the OD is the easy part to work with. install a potentiometer in place of the TPS and your good to go; as for proper timing and feel of shifts i have no idea. the truck has an electronic governor insteady of the hydraulic so a full manual would allow you to select which gear you wanted to be in at what ever time but governor pressure will be way low and will probably run into some major slippage issues. if you ohm out a wheel speed sensor to match what the 47re would use i dont see why you couldnt mount the PCM and only wire up the core functions. key on/key off, constant power, ground, and any other inputs (wheel speed, engine speed, you'd have to look into the brake switch operation. if the PCM sees the brakes applied it will not let it go into overdrive . itd take some wiring but i know it can be done with a little bit of work.

With a full manual VB governor pressure are not even a problem, At least with every Manual VB I've seen.
