Default bump timing or wait?

i bought the timing set and im wanting to bump my timing to 18* but im wondering if i should wait till after winter to do it bc i dont want to risk a head gasket bc of too much drive pressure, think i should wait or will i be fine?

well first off do you have an amount of fuel that you will need 18*? second without studs i wouldnt go over 15.5*. third timing doesnt make drive pressure go up timing increases cylinder pressure.

What are your mods? Whats yoru timing set at now? If your timing is set at stock and a stock HG without studs Id set it at 16*.

i have the stuff in my sig, I have beat the hell out of it to see if it would blow the hg and it'll go as high as 40psi boost and nothin ever lets go. I have stock headbolts and all that good stuff i set mine to 15.5* i didnt want the extra wear and tear on my internal parts that high timing will cause is why i ddint go very high
