Default stuck throttle

okay ijut bought a 95 dodge with the cummins in it. the throtle is sticking bu i dont think its the cable. im pretty sure its the spring loaded evolving part. anyonehave this issue? looking fo an easy fix

there is a linkage there that if it gets twisted will make it stick make sure that he knuckles are inline with each other

Call your Dodge dealer and have them run the VIN for any safety recalls. there was a safety recall on the throttle cable and linkage. it is a FREE fix as the cable will fray and will either break or will cause the throttle to stick.

i had this done twice on my 96, both times the cable snapped while driving down the road.... it sux trying to drive while it is idling....

There is a recall from the dealer on that. You can also get some liquid grafite spray, hold the thottle open and soak it and then work it some. To get you by

yes, call the dealer. theres a recall. i had the same problem and it was fixed 2 days later free of charge
