well we all forget but thats why this site is so helpfull people can fill in and help out when someone has a brain fart and forgets a simple step that can be a pain in the *** later on.

If its still there, you likely wont be able to remove it. You have to tab it so that it doesnt come out. It needs to be there - it prevents the timing case from walking.

you can not remove the pin it is what locates the timing case to the block if it isnt there the case will move causing inection pump to change

yeah there's a bolt below and to the right of the kdp, its an egg shaped tab that just covers the hole so the kdp cant come out. do it asap

NO - again, the dowel pin prevents the timing case from moving.

yeah; had a similar talk with my transmission guy... went to put a heavier flex plate in and it was'nt dished quite far enough so it'd cause clearance problems with the TC... asked if he could just shim it out a hair, he said the dowels are a MUST... so it was a no go for that flex plate...

can you guys get me a picture and measurements so i can just make one?? really cant afford anything right now cuz im moving to a different house and im tapped but i dont want my truck to take a dive on me
