missing!!!

i was driving my truck the other night an when i came to the light i noticed it started missing so i continued to drive it home an i kinda got on it, an it seemed to runn fine, so i changed injectors an still have missing problem sounds like a bad piston but i also heard from several people that it is prolly a fuel problem, could pump be goin out, or is that a bad delivery valve? thanks

Did you try cracking each injector line at a time on the injector and listin to see if the engine noise changes? Might help you track down the bad cylender. Does it do it cold or only when hot or both?

yes checked all injector lines an it does it hot an cold

anyone?

Could be anything from air getting into the fuel system to a sticky barrel and plunger.Since you say you changed the injectors out then they should be eliminated for the issue.I'd start first checking the fuel system looking for places where air can get into it and go from there........Andy

Fuel lines would be a start for some sort of leak, like Hammer said. I would then pull the filter and see if there is anything in there abnormal. After that its checking pressures to the IP from the LP. A good dose of injector cleaner might help as well. I know I had a slight miss when on of the injector return lines were leaking.

I had sort of the same problem. Its happened to me in the winter thought the truck was geling up. Come to find out it was sucking air in at the fuel heater. So I bypassed it.

i changed fuel filter, still missin, only thing i can think of is maybe the pump is bad

man mine is doin the same thing. I replaced injectors, injection pump, got an air dog lift pump, thought my lift pump might be bad and it still does it. i have cleaned filters, ran fuel treatment nothin has cleared it up.
