how much can i do without hurting stock trans
what exactly can i put on my truck before building the tranny?
if i have to build it what do i need to upgrade? thanks guys |
a valve body and a tc would help alot. thats what im gettin when i have a extra 1800 layin around
|
could you give me links?
my plan for the truck was to buy a fuel plate, injectors, 3k springs, delivery valves, and a bhaf:rocking: any ideas on hp ratings and what else i might need? |
i would do your tranny first much more than sliding the stock plate to full forward the tc usually gives up
|
depends on what fuel plate injectors your wanting i think the air intake should be first make sure your getting the air then add the fuel.

well i want like the most agressive plate i can find for the street with an automatic and 370 marines with laser cut dvs or 191's
so i need to at least get a torque convertor? |
you can blow a stock transmission, with a stock engine, all depends on how you drive it. With that said, i would first upgrade the transmission, then you have a good foundation. depending on your trans millage, i would do a full rebuild, but if trans is in good shape, new tourque converter, and valve body. just adjust you bands every 20,000 miles or more if pulling a trailer and always change your fluid and filter it should take a good beating. If you want to go all out, put a good set of clutches in, billet input/output and intermediate shafts in, billet planitatys ECT ect. dont forget a good tranny cooler and deep pan. i would say a transmissions biggest enemy would be heat, dirty fluid, and aggressive driving. good luck hope that was helpful:U:
