getting to the plate is easy just take the 4 bolts of the afc housing (just cut off the break off screw, thats what i did and you dont really need it) once you have the afc housing off your looking at the fuel plate, there are 2 flat head screws take those off and you can either take your fule plate out to grind it our just move it foward (away from the cab i believe) then just reverse to put it all back together. after you do it once it gets easy

so what do i replace the break off screws with?

and how do i cut em off?

i am getting the truck re inspected this week and i just fixed a bunch of problems i encountered when i purchased the truck (i.e. leaking radiator, bad water pump and thermostat) so now i gotta save some money to get an air filter for a BHAF and some fuel system cleaner

my truck blows black smoke to 1500 rpms then white and its boggy to 2200 rpm then it clears out any idea whats wrong?

there's only 1 break off screw, theres no bit in the head, just a round hole, to take it off you can drill it out which is what i did, of hit it with a chisel. You don't need to replace it, the other 3 bolts will hold the AFC just fine by themselves, but if you want to replace it, just take 1 of the regual bolts off and go to the hardware store and another bolt thats the same size. Don't worry i asked the same "stupid" questions as you when i first started here, you'll get the hang of it
