the probe is after the turbo not before those numbers are to much

bowtech 06-27-2009 11:53 PM

wat are they then?

sidekick 06-27-2009 11:59 PM

im running around 900-1000 deg. pre turbo at crusing speeds 60-65 mph

bowtech 06-28-2009 12:31 AM

is after the turbo accurate? even if you make more boost by blockin the waste gate?

94cummins12v 06-28-2009 12:04 PM

i prefer to know wht mu #'s are gong into the turbo becasue there closer to the pistons. aluminum melts about 1200-1300* and that is what your pistons are made of. at idle im at 300-400 and cruising empty 800-900, going up a pass with 6k on the back going 70 im about 1150* pre turbo is way more accurate but its alot harder to mount the probe, just figure what every yours says you are reall 400* more than what it is telling you
