A lot of people have been having good luck with Glowshift gauges on the cheap side. Isspro is really good stuff but spendy. I run autometer but thats because I got them free.
You might consider a real oil pressure gauge instead of fuel pressure.

you dont need iether fuel or oil pressure in a 12v

Yes, thats my second choice DiPricol Optix - but they do not manke a fuel pressure guage in the right range for a 12V and I dont like using a 100 psi guage.

As you already know - oil presssure is handy to have. As well, a fuel pressure gauge is a pretty good troubleshooting tool.

so thats a yes to the oil an a no to the fuel gauge?

stkdram55 06-13-2009 09:06 PM

i would get both...there is other places to put guages then on the a pillar

what ever helps you monitor your motor. fuel and oil are great to have

Im running 5 in my 12V - oil press, fuel press, Pyrometer, boost and tranny temp

I would personally stay away from Glowshift - leave them to the Ricers. Ive seen some people say they really like them - and others say they are complete junk. Your choice I guess. I know I wont take a chance with my engine. When you have performance mods, the accuracy of the Pyrometer is particularily critical to the health of your engine.

Isspro EV, Dipricol Optix, Isspro Performax, Autometer, Stewart Warner Performance Series are all good guages.

yeah gauges are one thing i wouldn't go cheap with at all a bad gauge could give you false readings and you'd never know, it's a risk I wouldn't be willing to take spend the $400+ and get the good ones at least then you're not out $10k for a new engine or $8k for a new transmission, etc

skyjacked84 06-14-2009 02:59 AM

yall think this is a good set up? are the readdin on the gauges enough or should they be higher?
