Default Head Bolts

whats is the thread size of the head bolts on a 12 valve. i want to know because i need bolts to put the block on my engine stand and the head bolt are the same size just to long.

hope you have a strong engine stand, cause all diesel motor engine stands mount to the side of the block instead on the sides

i think you may have said that wrong. hell i dint use no engine stand rebuilding my engine redeck way is a chain hoist/ back hoe and a shop floor

i have limited space and this was the easiest way to flip the motor over to pull the crank out

you can use a standerd engibne stand just make sure it is renforced if you plan on it being there for awhile

its a 2000 lb stand and its only going to be on for the nest day i just need to get the pistons out and then its off to ladel

Put something under the front of the engine to help support it. The Cummins is a very heavy very long engine. Even though it does not weight 2000 lbs the length of it will put ALOT more force on your stand.

i built a side mount stand for my engine, it might not rotate over but is sits high enough to get under it and work.
