just make sure you loosin your turbo up from your exhaust manifold and stick a playing card or something in between the two so metal shavings dont get into your turbo.

I really hope your not talking about grinding the fuel plate here, because shavings in the turbo is the last thing you would have to worry about.

If your talking about drilling the exhaust manifold for an egt probe it is quicker and easyer to drill it with the engine running the press in the manifold pushes the shavings out.

have a shop vac over it while you drill the manifold.

instead of replacing the turbo with another hx35 you should look in the a super B or S300 style turbo and be set there right off the bat. and you could drill the manifold while you put the new turbo on.

only problem with that is the cost a used hx35 round $200 used s300 $800- $1000 and new s300 $1100+. if you could find an hx40 that would be a much better upgrade for the cost.

Had a 95 the first thing to do is the kdp update this is a must because it will tear your engine up its not if but when! plug the waste gate line bottom out the preboost star wheel get a #4 fuel plate and some injectors stay away from marine injectors your engine is not designed for them and you will wash your cylinder walls the first two mods are free. if you research the p pump you can acually turn it up also thats three free mods

there is a line that runs to your waste gate take it off and plug both sides. the plug on the waste gate side does nothing but keep dirt out of it. I'm not sure on the fuel plates seen a #4 and a #0 in action and in my opinion the #4 fuels the best. 4k gov springs really help too even if you don't push it that hard. I would acually turn the pump up manually first and see what you think. i turned my pump up all the way and it was pretty mean

you want an hx40 it requires an hx40 down pipe and can be had for slightly more than the hx35. pluging the wastegate is NOT a good idea your drive pressure goes through the roof robbing you of HP and its not good for the headgasket. a 100 plate is a good all arround plate that fuels more and smoother than the number 4 plate.

A 0 plate fuels the same as no plate and a 100 fuels like a 10 on the bottom and a 0 up top. to answer your question a 0 fuels harder than a 4 plate. and what is done to your pump to make it "turned up all the way"?

or you could do it a better way and build an hx35/40 hybrid and have a hx40 that spools like an hx35 and keep you same downpipe.
