Electrical issue

went mudding in my buddies truck the other night, its a 97 reg cab with the 12 valve. he lost his tailights, and dash lights. Blinkers and break lights all other lights work. got no power to the relay under the hood that controls the dash lights and the tailights. I am thinking hes got a bad ground or something? no blown fueses and all lights tested good. Anyone have this issue? where is a good place to start looking for bad grounds/:ph: broken wires......I know thats a vague question but i was just curious if there was a comon spot for them to break or lose ground:argh: Sorry for the long post.....

What about the under hood fuses and relays? Did you check all of them? If its powering all that stuff I'm betting its an underhood relay or main fuse. Keep in mind, 1 underhood fuse powers the whole dash fuse block, so if that one blows, so does everything else. Does he still have a tach and speedo?
