04 cummins vs 96'

Smile 04 cummins vs 96'

does anyone know if the catylitic converter off my 96' 2500 would fit onto a 04 cummins 2500, or do new trucks run on different types. a guy wants to buy it from me for a smog test

the 96 dont have a cat converter.........thats a resignator under there


what year truck does yer buddy want a cat on?

I WOULD IMAGINE YOU COULD FAB IT TO FIT FIND A GOOD FAB SHOP

My 1996 had a cat on it as well as my neighbors. Both trucks are non Calif. If memory serves me correctly I believ the 1998.5 ( 24 valve) did not have cats but had resonators because they met epa requirements.

I agree with this statment. I'm 99% sure my 97 non cali. cummins had a cat under it when it was stock
