differental Q's
is there any way to turn my limited slip into a posi trac:humm:
|
It already is Posi-Traction was just a name brand of limited slip. If you mean to completely lock it (not for street use) then a mini-spool or locker could be installed.

ill tell ya this i went to turn around in a field and burried the passenger side of the truck:argh:. neither of the driver side tires would turn. i want all 4 wheels spinin when im in 4wheel drive not 2
|
The best option is a selectable locker like an ARB. That way you can lock it all up when you want/need it and unlock it for when your on the street. Most people dont want a spool or detroit:
Air Lockers |
does anyone run air lockers on there truck, and if so are they any good
|
Theyre good - no doubt about it.
About $900 per diff |
I have air lockers on my Mack , does that count? :choochoo:

i am not positive but you would probably be better of getting a Detroit true trac. it is a gear driven limited slip will last much longer then a normal LS selectable lockers are expensive. I am not positive if they make a true trac for a dana 70 or 80.

probably just worn out clutches. from what i hear they can be set up alot better also.
BTW positraction was just GMs marketing name for limited slip, much like trac lok, gov lok, twin traction ect... The posi name just seemed to stick though |
