advice for p pump
anyone have some super duper advice for putting the p-pump back on and all the gears to make the timing be somewhat acuart. im worried that when we put the pump gear on and get everything cosher that when we try and start it everything will be f-ed up
mark them all before you take em off (unless its too late) just use a paint pen and mark all the gears where they match up with the other ones, a line from one to the other:U:
they are already off. can gear and pump gear have "0" Stanped in were they go only issue is putting the pump gear back on the shaft how do i know were that goes
:humm: Wouldnt you do that the same way you set your timing IDK
i dont know i tried to keep the shaft in the same position i took it off dont what to start it and evreything go boom is my worry
you'll have to wait then for more knowledgeble person to see this:argh::argh:
ok thanks for the try
I thought the cam gear was keyed to the pump shaft.
the cam gear is stamped with marks as is the pump gear for them to align only problem is a p-pumped shaft is tapered and has no set way to being put on so thats why im curous
Are you trying for higher than stock timing?
---AutoMerged DoublePost--- IIRC the crank gear has a "00" and the cam has a "0" on it for getting them lined up. |
