Default Heater Problems

My heater isn't working worth crap... The water temp can be 160-180, and the air is luk warm... It useto cook me out of the cab, and now i can't even get it to defrost the window.. and i'm not seeing outside temps below freezing that much, but it's still freakin cold! I think i've got a vacume leak somewhere.. because my 4x4 takes forever to kick in, and the vent selector (defrost, floor, ect..) only works if i turn my fan down.. so Is there a vacume line that controles the heat, or is it most likely my heater care plugged? Thanks!

Default Dido...somewhat

yea...my heat is luke warm at best too, and its normally below freezing around here in the winter....all my air goes where i tell it to though and my 4wd works....the light doesnt come on inside the inst. cluster area, but they lock up just fine...im thinkin my heater core might be blocked...but i'm also curious if theres a special trick or something im not catching before i get the hose out to blast the core out.

when you turn your temp **** full hot to full cold listen for a thump noise and that will tell you if the door fully opening and closing. but i bet its you core. some have had good results back flushing cores and some have not. it may depend on whats built up in it and how much. i flushed mine with having the same problem as yours and i got good results from it.

Yea, I think I would clean the core first-done carefully it can't hurt much.
