P7100 injector pump shut off question

A brief history of problem, burned up two fuel shut off solenoids. A Cummins dealership said it could be a electrical problem, has anyone else had these issues? The truck has had a flat bed then got switched to the dually box, the wiring under the box is hacked. Could back feed from the modified wiring cause this problem. My thoughts is to hook up a manual shut off like on agri equipment. Any help would be great:argh:

Not sure about your wiring mods but it sounds like the manual shutoff would be a good option for you.

There are a few threads here on this. I will try to find them for you.

Your cummins tech probably checked it, but is the pop coil staying on when its running not just on start?

Starter contacts are usually the problem here. The solenoid in the starter doesn't disengage properly and keeps the pull circuit (70amp) relay powered up. But with all the "aftermarket wiring" you talk of, it could be anything..
