Tranny swap ??

Well, it's about time to do some work on the 12v. My auto is not enjoying my driving style.

I've checked out the usual avenues, Suncoast, ATS, etc, etc.
Been toying with the idea of going over manual. Found a complete running 94 2500 4x4 witht the nv4500, for less than any of my auto options.

So, what I need is some one to school me on the feisablity of a swap. What's it gonna take and is it worth it? Let me know :U: or :booo:

Be a lot of parts swapping. IDK, I'd drive the donor truck myself.

Well, the donor is a v10 farm truck, it's led a rough life. Mine on the other hand is pretty sweet except for the whole slipping trans thing.

If I didn't like turnin the wrenches I'd probably find a new hobby.:rocking:

Have to cut a hole in the center hump for the shifter, mount the clutch pedal under the dash, slave cylinder in the engine compartment, all the mounts should be the easiest part. That's if the holes are already in the frame.

I really just need to know about the flywheel, bell housing, starter, and input shaft. Just needing to know what parts I'll be able to use off the donor and what's gonna need to be bought.

HA!! I think I found my own answer!! :yeah:
