how low can i turn my idle down
anyone know how low i can turn the idle down on my 95 12v its at 750 right now but can i go lower
|
Im sure ya can but why do you want to??:pca1:

I wish my engine would idle at 750rpm.

As from what I heard that Dealers DRB II tool has the ability of adjusting a slight amount up or down. I've never had it done so I not sure if this is true or not...
But I do know the ECM is fixed in the ECM and there is no adjustment for the end user... |
Its a 95 - the idle adjustment is manual.
The idle should be set at 850 rpm, in gear with AC on. Im not sure why you want it low. When I got my 12V the idle was low - I would have to give it pedal to start it and then when I would put it in reverse to back up, the engine would die. |
If you got to low the oil pressure light will come on and the guage will go to 0. It happend in my 97 I would have to give it some fuel to keep from doing it if it was anywhere near cold it didnt want to start and it was a stick. In an auto anything below 650 makes it want to die at start up!

ive got a non ac truck so what should my idle be set at
|
Should be a smidge over 800. Apparantely the OEM tach in the truck isnt very close - youre supposed to use an external one.

There is a TSB somewhere on the tach. I looked quick but couldnt find it.
