Tranny Slipping

so i cut my fuel plate to a #0. fully knowing that i was gonna have problems. when i step on it after the converter locks up the rpms will kick up. it will also do it when it is not in overdrive after lock up. is the convertor slipping or is it the tranny? what ever it is it just got worse tonight. the highway rpms are normal at 65. but when i throttle on it just a little its like there is no lock up. ideas guys? thanks

Sounds like a slipping TC. A new triple disc will help out emencly!

i had basically the same prob and trust me upgrade before you kill it its cheaper that way. a new tc and vb would set you up for a good while

Blacksmokeracing 06-22-2008 03:17 PM

I agree with Chris its MUCH cheaper to upgrade now than to have to fully replace later on.

At the very least you need a TC and VB upgrade.

whats a vb?

Valve body: it directs all the fluids to the different clutch packs when it shifts
