500hp 12v

Ok so I was curious if anybody on here would have any idea as to how much it would cost to purchase a 12v engine with around 500hp? Or how much it would cost to have someone build one for me?

Are you talking building the one in your truck or building you one and then swapping it in? Building your existing one will be much cheaper than having one built.....by a few thousands to say the least. What parts are you looking for exactly to achieve your 500 hp goal or do you have any idea?

firstgenpr 09-17-2016 01:38 PM

I'm saying like if I would have someone like industrial injection build an engine for me how much would it cost me? Like 10k? I don't know what ever mods have to be made like injectors, turbo, head bolts, pump mods.

Defiantly don't go to industrial. You want your current truck to make 500 whp? Come to canada I'll build you a truck 😜 To make a reliable 500whp you'd need about $15k compounds would be ideal, larger injectors, pump work, studs, transmission. Fuel system. General supporting mods. There's many many options.

firstgenpr 09-18-2016 01:14 PM

What kind of supporting mods would you recommend other than studs? I'm not worried about the trans so what would it cost without that?

500 is an easy number to hit without pulling your motor. Unless something is internally wrong that is. If your near MD I could come help

firstgenpr 09-23-2016 06:00 PM

94 12valve, I know it's an easy number to hit but to bulletproof it at the same time to be reliable for pulling 20k once in awhile.

firstgenpr 09-23-2016 06:12 PM

I should probly mention that the truck isn't going to be a DD but I still want it to be drivable.

the biggest problem you will run into is the cooling system. towing that heavy with that much power is going to build a lot of heat in the motor. When you want to pull that much weight it would be best IMO to take some power away.

firstgenpr 09-23-2016 10:54 PM

94 12valve, do you think putting water/meth kit on it would help at all or not much?

94 12valve 09-24-2016 07:29 AM

it will help lower intake and exhaust temps but still pulling that much weight the motor is going to get hot if you hit any kind of grade or hill. Depending on year your asking to make 4x the wheel horsepower they make from the factory.

firstgenpr 09-24-2016 10:29 PM

94 12valve, do you think if I put one of those in cab fuel adjusters for a p pump on it so I could turn the fuel down when I'm towing that it would help?

94 12valve 10-01-2016 04:03 PM

yes just limit the power for when your towing. As long as you know that's what your going to have to do you will be fine.

Water meth is worth it. I hit 652hp 1191 with a silver bullet 66mm turbo, stock head with studs, 22 deg timing, 191 dvs, 215 benched pump, ddp4s, stock injector lines, 3 big noozles of water meth 50/50 mix.
