Nozzles
Are the marine 200hp nozzles a true 200hp on my stock injector body's or do I need to get different injector body's?
|
I believe the nozzle is the only difference they should fit in any 12 valve Inj body.
With the 24 valves there are 235hp stock nozzles, 275 "RV"nozzles and the all the aftermarket custom nozzles available. Be sure to have the injectors nozzles pop checked after your swap.:c: |
Ya I just wasn't sure if it will actually bump mine up another 200hp
|
Nah its not additive above stock, but means 200hp total on a 5.9 12 valve.
There are aftermarket nozzles in 50,100,150 and so on if you really want 200 more horses it will take more than nozzles to run right and last.:rocking: but you know that!! |
It will especially take more if you don't want to melt anything down.

Here is our list of estimated HP gains of our nozzles that get honed. % of flow over stock is really accurate for 1st gen intercooled. Our 155* show the % over on the 1989-1991
Here is the one for 1991.5-1993 https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.die...33f9fef919.jpg |
So what would I run the nozzles on so they are a true 200hp injector?
|
If you run your 200hp marine nozzles on a stock 12 valve 5.9 engine it will be a 200hp engine. In the list above you will notice that flowed and honed injectors stop at 150hp and that means 150 over stock. yours are not 200hp rather only 30hp in reality.Make sense?
Same is true for what the industry calls a RV275 injector it is 275hp Total and only a 50hp increase over stock on a 24 valve 5.9 engine. |
so what should I get I'm looking for a 200hp gain?
|
Is there a different injector body I can put my nozzles on to be a true 200hp gain
