Failing Harmonic damper?

I'm getting a vibration that i can feel through the pedals, gear shifter, and steering wheel. Its only when the motor is under a load, say 1/2 to full throttle starting at 1600 rpm and gets worse until 2000 rpm, from there to 3,000 its less apparent but still a vibration. Just driving normally it wont do it. front and rear drive shafts have both been either balanced or replaced. The transmissions been completely rebuilt with all updated shafts and has a south bend DD 3250 clutch and the transfer case has a clean bill of health. I'm thinking its from my harmonic damper based on the research I've done so far. As far as i know its still the factory unit and it has over 330,000 miles on it. The pictures I have attached are of it at idle and with the engine shut off and I'm thinking the lip protruding from the face of the damper is an indication its failing? Is there anyway of having the damper "balanced" or checked to see if it is bad? Id hate to drop 450 or so dollars on something just to see if its the problem. Thanks for any help you can offer!

I would keep looking for something else that's causing this vibe. Its normal to have extrusion of the rubber on a balancer if your in doubt make a slippage mark on it with a paint pen if its loose the outer ring will slip.
Check the tires maybe a belt and just happens to vibe at those RPMs.

I just found this article by TDR and it says that if the rubber isnt flush then it probably needs replaced :humm: Ill try the paint marker and see if it moves. Thanks for the idea!

I spent $1700 on my rebuild, doing all the labor myself, and I can't justify 400 and some odd dollars on a balancer. The factory unit is designed to last and be replaced at 100000 miles, and with a new one from rockauto shipped around the $75 mark, one could buy 6 of these units for the cost of the fluid damper.
That's roughly 600000 miles. And Idk about everyone else, but 600000 is beyond my lifetime, considering I only put about 2-3000 miles a year on it. YMMV

I put Fluidampers on everything, but then I put 800,000 miles on my last truck. I think they are well worth the money. People have claimed a noticeable difference in the way the engine runs after installing them.
But for 2 -3000 miles a year you're good to go

Holy crap, I drive more than that in two weeks! If I tried parking my truck for that long it would give me more crap than a dog drinking olive oil.

Lol, that's funny!

Yeah, I've had my truck for 4 years, and I've put about 10,000 miles on it.

Just to set the record straight, my truck does give me crap, all the time!
