Injector recomendation for mileage

Hello gents,

1994 airstream classic 360 diesel pusher, 5.9l 6bt, mated to allison hd1000, on spartan ec2000 chassis.

Installed banks power pack, and now fuel is weeping from #2 #3 #5 injectors between injector and injector retaining nut. Considering replacing injectors while i am in there if there is a better option. I am looking for better fuel economy by maximizing the improved air flow of the twin ram, more fuel of the ottomind plate, and upgrade to the exhaust side of the turbo.

any advice is appreciated.

id say a set of 5x12 sacs would yield pretty good mpg over stock and run clean. depends whats stock, you could also go with a set of 5x10 sacs which may be better, not sure if they are available. i went to diesel auto power when i got my 5x16 sacs and am very pleased with their performance and cleanliness over my old 5x12 vcos.

I do not know what is stock, but I know the CPL # is 0987

What turbo do you have? 5x10 are like 215 engine injectors but sacs would run cleaner and cooler. 5x12 would defiantly improve power and in sac would be easily tuneable and any higher pop pressure aftermarket injector should be an improvement within a reasonable size and tuned properly.

The HX50, with the banks power back exhaust side so it spools faster.

Probably an hx35. Are you sure about the HX50?

Get me the replacement cummins injector # and I will look it up. Probably better to go with 5x.011 or 5x.0105 SAC. We also have our Premium DAP 3/4k Governor spring kit.

So I am looking for just the recommendation on the nozzle. Thanks for the 5x0.0105 recommendation.

As I understand you can decode the part number on Cummins injector nozzles and find the appropriate one from this list: Bosch Nozzle of CUMMINS Product Information Then once you have the appropriate part number you can order them for $16-25 a piece, get the injector installation kit with the o-ring, copper washers, and banjo nut gasket, and do it yourself for around $150 instead of buying a performance kit with the same results.

except you will have whatever stock pop pressure is or lower and no way to test it unless you send them to get built locally which usually costs the same or more as buying from a place like dap. Also not many places I've seen self sac nozzles. And you def want the 295 pop pressure instead of the 245 stock pop
