injector question

I have a 98 12valve auto 180hp truck.. i am replacing injectors but going with 215hp injectors from a manual truck i know the 180 and 215hp injectors have different size washers on the tips so question is do i put the washers on that match the injectors or the washers that match the engine.. thanks

Get the thinnest ones. It basically increases your static timing by moving the injector closer to the piston. Why 215's? I'm sure from cummins they are an arm and a leg. Might as well get 5x12's incase you want to grow at all. Unless you can get them for a good price.

Well i already have my timing bumped sp it would be ok to increase it more? And yes i can get them cheap

What's your timing? And I don't think it jumps it a lot. Not enough to cause danger unless your timing is at 16 or 17 and even at that point your going to need studs eventually. Depends how you drive

Idk what it is at exactly i learned a trick at work of turning the dampener a half inch.. from what im told at work it bumps the timing up around 6*.. and i beat the truck lol i might have floored the truck once in the past 6 months..

Ya just get the thinnest ones then. That's what many performance companies supply with their injectors.
