exhaust manifold searching

Looking at the afe blade runner ductile iron exhaust manifold to buy to run with my bd-killer b turbo. Would that one piece manifold help me lower egts and spool up time, or is there a certain manifold i should run?,Thanks.

It would, probably, but if you're going to change it you may as well get a three piece IMO.

How come a three-piece what differents does it make

JBearSVT 10-21-2014 05:09 PM

The OEM manifold shrinks and expands at a different rate than the head, sometimes very different. This cracks manifolds, but I've seen it crack heads too. A three piece manifold eliminates this issue, like expansion joints on a bridge.

i see how that makes since, ill look into the diesel power source's 3-piece manifold

I have a DPS X Manifild on my truck and I havent had one issue it .. I know a few people have ran a few "HIGH Performance" 1 pc. manifolds .. they move and shrink ovetime and then you have to find someone to weld it and then machine it .. only to have it do it again down the road somewhere ..

Thats the manifold i was looking at, but then i went to alligator diesel performance site and they have a diesel power source 3-piece manifold for 389$ but it doesn't say it's the x-style manifold:argh:
