best injector brand for the money?

im looking for a new set of injectors in the 100hp to 150hp range brands ?

Big Dawg makes a good injector with good pricing. Personally i like CPP Injectors, i have a set of SAC's from Jamie and i absolutely love them :rocking:

I've heard good things about CPP injectors

Brewster12v 10-08-2014 12:30 PM

I have also heard really good things about cpp injectors.

Make sure you get informed about the differences between VCO and SAC injectors .. :tu:

Slim Whitey 10-08-2014 07:33 PM

Actually, what the hell IS the difference?

Alls I know is that VCO's can apparently lead to higher EGTs and some improper combustion due to their spray pattern.

Just-Another-Dieselguy 10-09-2014 12:25 PM

SACorVCO

Read this before you spend that dollar :tu:

Yes .. Thats a Great read there ..

I personally will be going to 7x12's with my hx35 and HT60 Compunds ..:rocking::choochoo:

I will know more once I get closer to the actual #'s .. should be about 400-425, but will be keeping it all in check and clean running.. :c:

Just-Another-Dieselguy 10-09-2014 03:01 PM

7x12 is a big puppy to try to keep clean with a 12v! little easier for me

I just change the tune. great stick in my opinion (not for stock trucks) :tu:

4x4manonbroke 10-09-2014 03:41 PM

Oh yeah .. I hear that .. the current 215 inj. are just too smokey and the EGT's can get hot quick ... so its gonna be a ton of stuff put on at once .. will tune from there .. :c:

i may end up doing a cam to help a bit with spool and EGT's as well, Will run the new set up when I get it all here and installed and tune it for a bit .. then move forward from that position

You should beable to make over 400-425 on compounds with injectors and tuning etc. My buddies truck that I built made 405/847 on a 180 horse auto truck maxed fuel and tuning, bd special, htt manifold, 4 gsk only fueling to 3400, and crazy carls full intake piping from turbo to intake. Stock everything else, just installed 191 and should pick up another 20 horse or so and break 900 ft lbs.

Just-Another-Dieselguy 10-09-2014 04:10 PM

A 7x12 is a hell of a lot bigger than the 215 injectors...

I ran industrial 150's and it was not uncommon to see 1500* on the pyro :argh:
Switched to cpp 7x0.014 sacs and lost a ton of smoke, spools twice as fast and on a hot day I can hit 1300, i have detuned the truck due to the dd factor, but it still runs good, I can hit about 1150 now :tu: no clue what the truck makes for numbers. But I refuse to dyno her till I'm certain it's over 750. Needs a couple things first lol like a real injection pump!

4x4manonbroke 10-09-2014 10:28 PM

LOL... my engine is a 215 engine .. W/887 pump its a 96 manual engine in an auto 2wd truck .. single cab etc ..

400-425 is good .. much more and I will back it off .. safe parts that way

Why would you even bother with twins and injectors at that power level. You will barely be spinning the ht60 and will basically be running the whole set up choked back. A stock 215 injector and a 62/65/12 or 14 would yield the same power or more as well as be much cheaper and faster spooling. My buddies 405 on all stock and a bd special 64/71 is fairly quick spooling as it is and barely made a puff on the dyno. A 62/65 would have cleaned up even harder due to spool up.
