12valve upgrades in order please!

I just bought my truck 1995 160hp 3500 4x2 and it is basically stock, I have added a bhaf, new jasper trans. 47rh, diamond eye 4in. turbo back w/muffler. I'm new to the diesel world but I've been a mechanic for over 20 yrs and I have played with sbc and bbc for that 20 yrs. Now I want to turn up the wick on my diesel, my next move was going to add a adjustable boost elbow, grind my fuel plate to a #100, move it full forward. I also was going to move the afc housing forward and grind the foot, but I don't know how much to grind off the foot. I'm also going to adjust the timing on my pump, just waiting on my snap-on guy for the tool, what would be a good degree to set the pump at? Thanks:tu::

you can set your timing at 16-18 and that could work for what your doing.
If you haven't already done it, i would really recomend you have the killer dowel pin dealt with.

#1 KDP, Pull front engine cover and deal with it or make sure its neutralized
#2 Headstuds - If you plan on making any REAL power ( 300 + ) JUST DO IT !!!
#3 Time it to 18*
#4 Pyrometer, Boost, Trans ( if auto )
#5 62/65/14 W/G turbo
#6 100 plate or comparable

This is a 300+ hp, 900 TQ set up ..

If you have an auto trans .. Your gonna need to do ..

#1 tripple Disc Converter
#2 Hardened Input shaft ( 300M ) It wil break easily @ 1000 Tq ..
#3 Big cooler and Delete the factory exchanger ..
#4 Your gonna want a Done Right VB or a high quality unit for tow/Street usage

Keep us posted :pca1:

Well just an update I've but in a boost elbow, moved the 64902 banks fuel plate forward (which I didn't know I Had) and afc housing full forward, ground the afc foot 1/4 in, adjusted the afc before boost screw and starwheel. Now my next steps were to check the kdp, change the governor to a 3k, and possible change the dv's. But I don't know what dv's to use, also was going to change injectors, but to what size not sure, and also I finally got the timing tool from the snap-on guy so I can address the timing to 17.5*. Also this is to 4x4manonbroke what is the factory exchanger that u what me to delete, is that the cylinder under the turbo for the trans. cooler and also what size cooler should I use? Lastly where can u purchase a suncoast vb. Thanks

If you plan on really having fun with it and since you plan to go with 17.5 degrees timing your going to need studs, and as is your going to be basically over fueling the hx35 so your going to be looking into a turbo in the near future I'm sure. Aswell a 4gsk is much more worth it especially if studs are in order then you can do the valve springs.

HOLD UP THERE HOS ......... !!!! FIRST U NEED STUDS,THE KDP ... THEN BUMP TIMING ... Any of these things out of order your asking for issues.

Do you have any idea why ?
Or how much timing you need ?

There is a reason and A structure to fuel VS timing = Need ....
