Gear vendor wiring problem
I have a gearvendor under/overdrive unit on the back of a nv4500 and I am trying to get it working. Ever since I have had it it hasn't worked. I think it has to do with the wiring. The computer powers up and I am getting a good power and ground source to it. There are no lockouts hooked up and all the other wires are connected properly except possibly the manual switch. The switch was disconnected when I got the truck so I need to figure out how it is wired in. As of now one side of the switch is connected to a yellow, red, blue, and green wire coming from the computer. On the other side there is a small black, and white wire coming from the computer as well as a larger black wire going to ground. I dont know if this is wired correctly and according to the wiring diagram it doesnt show the individual colors. If you have this same setup could you please take a look at your switch on the shifter and tell me how it is hooked up. I would really appreciate it.
I called GV today and told me to make sure none of the prongs were bent on the computer. It turns out I had a bent prong on one of the plugs. Just enough where it didn't make contact. Now it is working like a charm! Thanks guys!
