Fuel shutoff solenoid problems

I know there are many posts about this but mine is a little unique. I'm trying to make sure that I buy the right part the first time. When my truck is cold or has sat for 45 minutes or so after driving it will fire right up no problem. But if it is hot and sometimes even after it sits a half hour I have to pop my solenoid up. I have changed the relays around an it didn't change anything. I checked the power wires and what I think was the fuse and it was good. But It has to have power because it will start fine cold. And lately after a half hour drive or more, it will not shut off. I have to turn the key off and on before it shuts down. Does it sound like the actual solenoid or something else? I'm tired of looking stupid when it doesn't start and I have to pop my hood. Plus a damn powerchoke driver laughed when I had to do it... That was enough for me. Any help?

It sounds like you may have a faulty new solinoid.

Known for a Fuel solenoid issues .. :ouch:.. You CAN do it your self .. Easliy a plug and play .. you may need to measure to ensure correct distance throw ..

Mine was doing the exact same thing. Three different solenoids and five relays later, I got a choke cable and deleted the whole thing. Problem solved. :w2:
