I'm looking to make my 12 valve have 700-800 street able hp without a ton of smoke. Any ideas?

Twins, fairly large injectors and some clean burning dv's, good valve train. Cam maybe, probably need bottom end work for that much power. Fluidamper or ati. Better be starting with a 215 pump or you will likely need a built one.

I would like to be able to drive it daily during summer months, tow a trailer if needed, and go to the strip on the weekends and lay out some respectable 1/4 times. I've got a he351 cr turbo with wicked wheel and waste gate, 80hp injectors, scheid street/strip cam. ATS stage 4 trans, 20deg of pump timing, cold air, 4" exhaust.

Basically all that will need replacing. The he351 won't be that great in twins, too restrictive. People do it but not the best option. Probably need at least 5x016 or more. Timing should be fine. Maybe a bit more depending if you live in cold Climate or not. Like the other guy said, girdle, Rods, arp everywhere. Probably crank and better pistons. Possibly bigger dv holders and lines. A twin set up with 5 inch exhaust. Simple set up is a built s300 over a ht3b that's some old school twin technology or go fancy with like a cheetah 62 over a s475 or even bigger. Big intercooler to hold the pressure. And a lot of afc tuning.

As far as 1/4 times ... I have 4.10's and run 14.8 ish .... based on a stop watch .... which concidering a 5K truck going 100mph in 660' .... thats a bunch to try to stop ..

7-800 is was too much to DD .. Period .. it wont happen, you will Kill every Mosquito with in a 1/4 mile @ easc stop sign ...

If it were me ... 500 is a bunch and can be a hand full ... I was driving around W/o my plate in ( mine being a 215- check sig ) ... it was constantly sidways ... With Sticky Dunlops ..

I was going to be doin all this the same till I read a bunch of forums .... 500 is plenty .

if you just HAVE to have 500 or more .. your going to need a substancial amount of money ...

as far as twins .... Silver 64/S475 1.10 ar .... you can rock all the way to 700 or more .. But .. thats about 4K in turbos's alone .. not including piping or a manifold or .....

Then there is the mains, rods, girdle, dampner, springs, gov springs,.... and if you have an Auto ... Well .. its gonna be spendy .. if you have a Manual ..DD clutch .. buy for more that your planning for , same with the Auto ... Figure some where in the vecinity 8-12K to make the truck reliable @ 700 ... or so .. thats you doing ALL the work, like trand / clutch , piping, all the goodies, ETC ...

What are your Dyno #'s right now ???

I don't think it will be too much power to drive but you def need to know how to drive it. Gonn need trac bars forsure to keep traction. A good set of twins and proper afc tuning should be able to keep it clean ish. But forsure tons of money and a fair amount of work. Hopefully you have. Good budget. There's no cheap 700 horse trucks.
