12v engine swap

i am going to be doing a engine swap and just wondering what i might need to do if anything different.

both 12v engines 1 is p pump and other is rotary pump.

i am not wanting to build a motor for power just to pull my horse trailer and other trailers

just need to know if i have to make any changes to anything with different inj pumps

1996 dodge 3500 auto and the motor i have came out of a 94 dodge 2500

Thanks in advance

If you have a 96 that should be a P7100 and if that motor you are swapping in is indeed out of a 94 then you are also dealing with a P7100. They ended the Bosch Rotary in the 93 model before the new bodies started in 94. That being said, if the swap motor is older you will need all of your lines and front plate pump and lift pump off your 96 to make it P Pumped.

I'm sorry it was suppose to be 93 ( big thumbs small phone.

LMAO no worries, is there an issue with the 96 or just getting tired? I would suggest looking at some of the 1st gen posts about P Pumping their motors as that is exactly what you are looking at doing if you go this route. Remember there is an injector difference as well and I cannot give you a 100% on if the 93 is still the 155* injector or not, so be sure to look that up before ordering injectors.

The motor has very bad blow by.

And I have the 93. Just trying to figure if I could pull out the motor that's in it and put the 93 in it

You can drop in the other motor, that was what was done on my 94, however you would be dealing with the Rotary pump and as long as you are good with that then you do not have anything to worry about. Do not get me wrong, you can make great power with that pump for anything you would need, a Governor spring and some free mods can get you some good power and a nice RPM range to use for sure.

No worries, I had no complaints with the 93 motor in mine, it was all Auto Transmission issues that caused me to get rid of the truck lol.

I am hoping to fix the problem my tyranny has now.

It goes in and out over drive from 50-57. I have been told it could be a bad ground bad connection feed back from a alternator

Could also be as simple as needing a service and adjustment.
