Upgrade questions!!! Help!!!

Have a 97 2500 ext cab long bed, built tranny, motor pulled and getting hot dipped ringed and checked out for any problems, 300,000 on the truck, 0 miles on the tranny, Hey guys few questions that I'm not sure about, first what are the real Benifits of having head studs and do you have to modify any to put them on? What if I wanted to put 60 lb valve springs will I have to change anything with the lifters? Type of injectors that should use? And what type of gaskets should I use oversized? Or just stock, I pull a tailor a lot but I don't want to have any worrys that I won't be able to pull something, stocks hx35 turbo think about jumping up few sizes bigger, anything will help!!:tu:

Studs will keep the head on better, they have more clamping force that bolts, use stock Cummins gaskets, and follow the torque specs and all will be great.... Also with the studs, you will need to run engine around a bit to get et warmed up, no romping on it , just drive it like normal... Easy, then let cool over night and re torque all the studs in correct sequence .... And then again maybe like a week later, then it was recommended, about once a year after that... Just for good insurance...

the turbo, S300 62/65/14 ... Check out source automotive in Clackamas Or. these guys are real easy to talk to and they do great work ... Highly recommended anywhere in the country...

I seem to remember my head needing the rocker seats cut or something to work with the ARP studs. Maybe it had something to do with the new springs, but I don't think so. Not sure, since I wasn't actually the one working on it for a change. Regardless, the lifters will be fine as long as they're fine now. How heavy do you tow?

With studs will need rocker pedestals decked down .200" for clearance of the rocker covers, and to accommodate the washer under the nut on the ARP stud..
