1995 12v in a 1979 CHEVY K-30

OK guys. I've had the 79' K-30 for a while, I love the truck, but hate the fuel mileage, and it is kind-of a turd. 454 with an sm465. Screamin rpm's at 65 mph, maybe 4 mpg- unloaded. It does however start EVERY time with no persuasion or manipulation. I have bought a 95 12v Cummins, and I plan on utilizing it with a 47rh, which means a whole big bunch of swapping and changing and light fabwork.

I started the motor on my engine hoist after chasing water out of the fuel system, changed filter, bled air/ water at injectors, etc. it ran great!! Then I shut it down. The next day I tried it, I can get good fuel pressure to the p-pump, but nothing gets to the injectors or the deliver side of the p-pump. I cracked a few, no water air or fuel came out. Cracked the fuel inlet and sprayed fuel everywhere. cracked the OFV and not a drop. I will take any advice given, I am NOT a mechanic, but I am smart enough to listen to those who are. Thoughts?

is the fuel shut-off silenoid working? it's the little canister looking thing toward the back of the pump attached to the afc housing with 2 bolts that has some short wires coming out with a plug on the end of them. it should cycle up and down as it gets power or not.

Sorry I forgot to mention that, the solenoid isn't there, I manually shut it down with the lever by hand. I've been at work for two weeks since this happened, but after doing a bit of research I fear that the internals of the lever may not be actuating when flipping the lever. Any chance of that? And would I be able to fix it at home if that's the problem? I go home in the morning, and I will have 2 weeks to work on it. I just want to get it right before I start throwing the motor in the truck.
