dropping oil pan for re-seal

Is there room to drop the pan on a 1996 2500 4x4 with engine & crossmember in place?

I don't believe so but I could be wrong.

Engine will need to be lifted a few inches .... Take off back valve cover and cover with a rag ... Loosen up through bolts on engine mounts, lift ... Watch out for bell housing and such ... Don't wanna mess up floor board ... May need to pull trans dip stick also ..:humm:

Like 4x4man said^. Engine has to be lifted. You need to disconnect an intercooler boot on both sides of the intercooler, loosen the fam shroud, loosen engine mount bolts and take the rear valve cover off. Thats about it... oh and watch your brake booster as it can/will move and you take a chance on breaking it when you lift the engine. Lift it as far as you can without breaking anything, you need all the room you can while taking that pan out. Good luck!!
