Fuel delivery?

Okay I have a. 96 12 valve cummins. I just got it back from the shop couple weeks ago and now bitch will start soooo hard. I'll have to keep cranking several times and when it starts I let go of the key and it just dies. I give it throttle to. Then after about 5-8 times cranking it starts. Had my fuel filter replaced at the shop. Just seems like I'm sucking air. Once it runs it's okay nothin wrong. Drove it yesterday and shut it off for half hour yesterday and had this problem. And it was 45 degrees out:argh:

You could pressurize the tank and look for leaks on the suction side. Fuel heaters are a common leak as are the rubber hose that connects the fuel heater/strainer to the pump. With the age of the truck it wouldn't surprising if the bumped the heater or hose while changing the filter. Wouldn't really be their fault just part of having an older truck! The filter could also be leaking.
