PARTS NEEDED TO REV TO 4000+

Hey guys my question is what parts do you need to make a Cummins 5.9 12 valve rev reliably to 4000 + rpm or even 5000 if that's possible?
I'm thinking that your going to need to the following:
upgraded head studs
165# valve springs
hardened con rods
milled intake
ported heads
runner style intake manifold
upgraded girdle
upgraded main studs
upgraded con rod bolts
large cam
or even maybe a 24 valve head swap if its needed but will these parts get me the revs I want?

if all you want to do is rev it high you need way less parts than that. your not going to make a lot of power up that high on a street truck. so my question to you is why do you want to turn it that hard when you don't need to?

Ok, what revs would you recommend?:humm:

below 4k on the street. a couple bars past red line on your tach is a good spot.

Ok, so about 3500, thanks.

I've had mine to 3300-3500 with just valvesprings, and 5K springs in the injection pump. For 4K, I'd recommend retainers and keepers as well. For high boost, pushrods.

Sorry, that's on my 95...I don't have it in my sig.

fluidamper is also needed IMO for 4k+ and make sure it roll pined.

GOOD call on the dampner ... keeping harmonics in check....

and really I have 3K in mine and it can easily blow past 90 in a hurry ....even with the 4.10's .... and 265' s
